Pork Mozzarella

With an onion-seasoned coating, rich sauce and mozzarella cheese, these pork chops will satisfy cravings for Italian food.

    envelope (about 1 ounce) dry onion recipe soup & dip mix

    cup dry bread crumbs

  • 1/8

    teaspoon ground black pepper

    tablespoon water

  • 1 1/2

    pound boneless pork chops, 3/4-inch thick (about 6 pork chops)

  • 1 1/2

    cup Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce

    cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 ounces)

      Crush the soup mix in the envelope with a rolling pin.  Stir the soup mix, bread crumbs and black pepper on a plate.

      Beat the egg and water in a shallow dish with a fork or whisk.  Dip the pork in the egg mixture.  Coat with the crumb mixture.  Place the pork into a 2-quart shallow baking dish.

      Bake at 400°F. for 20 minutes.  Pour the sauce over the pork.  Sprinkle with the cheese.

      Bake for 5 minutes or until the pork is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
