Here's a favorite from Italian fairs and festivals that's so easy to make at home.  Simply combine the ingredients in a baking dish and throw it in the oven.  In less than an hour, you have a scrumptious dish to be enjoyed by all.

WHAT YOU'll NEED

    pound sweet or hot Italian pork sausages, cut into 2-inch pieces

  • 6

    red new potatoes, cut into quarters

  • 2

    medium green peppers, cut into 2-inch-long strips (about 3 cups)

  • 1

    package (8 ounces) mushrooms

  • 1/2

    of a large sweet onion, sliced (about 1/2 cup)

  • 2

    cup Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce or Tomato, Basil & Garlic Italian Sauce

  • HOW TO MAKE IT

      Stir the sausage, potatoes, peppers, mushrooms and onion in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Add the sauce and stir to coat.

      Bake at 400°F. for 30 minutes or until the sausage is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

For a Heartier Meal, serve the sausage mixture on long sandwich rolls.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with steamed and lightly buttered broccoli spears. For dessert serve frozen strawberry yogurt.
